Striking images of the Vale captured by artist Christine Bass will be on display this weekend in the fifth annual Town Farm Art Show.
The event takes place at Mrs Bass’ home in Cheddington and features the work of nine artists who specialise in crafts such as woodwork, ceramics, textiles, jewellery and outdoor sculptures.
The 54-year-old full-time painter said: “The idea came from Bucks Open Studios, which I also participate in, where artists open their doors to the public.
“That happens in June and I think November is a nice time, being just before Christmas, when people are looking to come and see something a little special and like the idea of the types of gifts we have on offer.”
Each year the show raises around £400 for Iain Rennie Hospice.
Around 400 people are expected through the doors of the three-day exhibition, which opens on Friday at 6 Town Farm.
Ceramics specialist Susan Day, who is taking part in the exhibition for a second year, said: “The different artists that Christine has invited all produce quality work from around the area.
“It’s a nice mixture of different disciplines and there is a really good buzz around the show.
“I enjoy meeting people and telling them about how I make my work. I was certainly pleased to be invited back again this year.”
The exhibition runs from 2-8pm on Friday and 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday.
