Following more downpours, flooding has once again blighted roads in and around Thame today.

The B4009 between Aston Rowant and Kinston Blount was closed this morning, as well as the Sydenham Road from the B4445 at Emmington.

The Chinnor and Thame roads were also severely flooded, adding to misery for early morning commuters.

Earlier in the week Chinnor Road to Thame was one of the worst hit and looked ‘more like a river’ according to Gazette photographer Derek Pelling.

Derek watched as drivers tackled the submerged stretch of road and warned people to take it slow.

“The water is covering some pretty bad potholes underneath so it makes it very dangerous,” he said.

“People should take it careful around there and go through as slow as possible.”
