A former Lord Williams’s School pupil and Thame resident is directing the David Mamet classic, Oleanna.

Madeleine Vose is the creative lead of the show which has been funded by a grant from Arts Council England.

The production, running from March 28-April 2, has featured stars including Alistair McGowan and William H Macy.

But the play will be performed in a modest setting – The Friends Meeting House in Rickfords Hill, Aylesbury.

Madeleine said: “I loved drama at Lord Williams’s and my first role was Prince Charming in the Thame Youth Theatre.

“It’s great to see they are still going strong.”

Oleanna tells the story of a female student who takes on her male professor.

Eleanor Short, who plays student Carol, said: “I love the play! And the chance to perform in such a brilliant space - it’s not something I have done before!”

Ticket are priced at £9 and £6.50 for concessions and can be booked by contacting Madeleine on 07930 206917 or email openscriptdirector@gmail.com
