Tickets for legendary hometown Aylesbury rock band Marillion go on sale this Saturday as part of the resurgent Friars Club.
It will mark the third gig for Friars since returning to the Waterside Theatre with shows from The Specials and Genesis’ Steve Hackett this year.
Friars promoter and founder David Stopps said: “We have been trying to get them back since 2009 since we had the first resurgence gig.
“We’ve been saying we should really do something together again. It’s finally come together again this year.
“There does seem to be a lot of excitement about them. They really did come up through Friars.”
The band formed in 1979 before playing a prominent role in Friars shows throughout the 80’s.
Mr Stopps added: “They were a very important part of Friars and I would like to think we were a very important part of their career at that time. It’s fantastic to have them back.”
Tickets range from £25 to £35 and go on sale for the November 9 show from midday at the box office and online at 2pm on www.atgtickets.com\aylesbury
Tickets are also currently on sale for Friars screening John Otway’s movie at the theatre on July 14.
