Win and a loss for bowlers in close matches

THAME’S mixed side narrowly lost out to Banbury 85-62 on the final rink.

They held a slim one shot lead on rink two but Banbury managed to get two shots to take the final end and claim with it the match.

Top rink honours for Thame went to Kevin Dennington, John Rust, Adie Twinn and Skip Les Canfield, who won 22-13.

Thame 101 Bicester 89

Six rinks of Men’s triples were played and both sides finished up winning three rinks each but Thame managed to do enough to win the closely fought match 101 shots to 89.
