Vale of Aylesbury athletes took part in the County Cross Country Championships, held jointly with Bedfordshire at Stockwood Park, Luton.

Despite tough conditions due to the weather, there was a good showing from Harry Czapski’s junior squad.

For the U13 3k girls, Kitty Shepherd Cross had a superb race finishing in silver medal position in a time of 14:20, just two seconds behind the winner with Lucy Gunson and Tilly Green 16th and 31st. Eliza Taswell Fryer finished fifth in the U15 race and Alice Wright was ninth U17 girl. The boys also fared well with Max Perry finishing fifth for the U13 boys; Matthew Bird 11th and Joshua Brown 19th.

A great run from Harri Kane in the U15 age group took bronze in a time of 14:29.

Will Ralston, Tom Swindlehurst and Connor Richardson completed the U15 team who finished fourth overall. Kieran Lindars finished fifth in the U17 in 22.24.
