Magnolia Park Golf Club has announced it will be hosting the Jamegatour which will see leading tournament professionals from all over the UK come to town.
There will be a pro am on Sunday August 18 followed by the Jamegatour Tour Official Professional Tournament on August 19 and 20 and entry is free for spectators.
Mark McGeehan PGA head golf pro and general manager Paul Bird are excited at hosting such a prestigious event.
“It’s a great opportunity for anyone wishing to get into the game of golf or just to come up and see how the game is played at a very high level,” McGeehan said.
The course, which is between Aylesbury and Bicester, off Arncott Road, Boarstall, is throwing open its gates to the public offering free golf on the Academy course for the duration of the event. There will be lots going on with access to the driving range for the Cleveland and Srixon demo day.
Fun putting games and activities will also be taking place. Mazda Lodge of Aylesbury are offering a £10,000 hole-in-one prize along with trips to Portugal and many other great prizes. Ukko Of London clothing will be putting up prizes for nearest the Longest Drive prizes by IJP design, Pure Golf Trollies exhibiting with club clean and Marstons Brewery supplying refreshments to competitors. The 3D motion centre and custom fit centre will also be available for demonstration.
A club spokesman said: “The event is sure to be a great success and all at the club welcome visitors, spectators, juniors and new beginners to the game.”
