THAME continued their 100 per cent season with a straight-forward win over Maidenhead away.

The first-half saw the visitors play with confidence and style as they kept the ball, played it around the back and dominated possession.

The first goal came after a period of concerted pressure saw Will Sawrey-Cookson fire into the area for Cliff Brown to superbly deflect into the bottom corner.

The Kites, as Thame are known, built on their lead with a smart finish from Gareth Birkett. The Thame captain picked up the ball on the edge of the area before creating same space for himself and finishing on the reverse.

A second goal from Brown saw Thame take a 3-0 lead into half time.

The defence were playing well with solid possession and distribution from Chris Humphreys and James Rudolph allowing the midfield pair of Sawrey-Cookson and Birkett to make the most of space. Brown completed his hat-trick with a neat finish from close to make it 4-0.

The fourth goal seemed to kick-start Maidenhead and they hit back with a consolation late on but Thame responded with the goal of the game as Matty Snuggs combined with Alex Merrick beautifully to score the goal of the game.
