Katherine Allen took full advantage of her high handicap thanks to some below par scores in the opening weeks of The Monday Handicap Doubles and rolled a scratch score of 679 which totalled 811 with handicap.
That enabled her team Splits Happen to beat Fallen Apart 16-4 and to also record a new season high team score with handicap of 1,454.
The A.Ties, who sit second in the league, were also in good form beating Supreme Legacy 14-6 with reserve Martin Richmond having his first outing of the season rolling 635 to beat his partner Paul Brooks by 23 pins. After a shaky start to the season, Alpha’s Keith Bishop came good rolling a 648 series in his team’s 11.5-8.5 win over a Bill Faulkner-inspired Little & Large team.
At the top, leaders The Dohnuts held on to their lead with a 14-6 win over Divided in Time thanks to a 602 series from Cheryl Hoare.
In the remaining match the Goodfellows struggled to a 13.5-6.5 victory over Rank Outsiders who are living up to their name and are already favourites for the wooden spoon.
