Friendly win for the mixed team against Adderbury

THAME mixed bowls team won their friendly at home to Adderbury 108-72 on Saturday

Top Rink honours went to Peter Gresty, Derek Goodyear, Ken Kilroy and Skip Chris Billingham who won by 33 shots to 10.

Four new members decided to play their first game for Thame on Sunday (May 15).

The annual friendly match was played at Henley Bowls Club and although Henley won on all four rinks to take the game with 93 shots to 63, newcomer Carol Perry playing 2, with Jackie Emberson at lead, Trevor Copley and Skip Vic Brooks had an enjoyable game leading throughout, then losing by 1 shot on the last end with 20 shots to their opponents’ 21.

Thame Ladies began their defence of the Top Club Tournament they won last year with a win over Banbury on Central on Sunday.
