Respected coach Dave Larham has returned to the club where he won promotion and the Bucks Cup as pre-season looms.
Larham returns to Aylesbury after several years away hoping to reignite the success he enjoyed in his first spell at the club.
In the intervening years Dave has become one of the highest qualified rugby coaches in the county.
His day job also centres around rugby as he is employed by London Wasps as their community rugby manager.
Chairman Dean Gray said: “Dave also works at a high level with the RFU coaching around the UK and internationally.
“He has already brought a professional approach to the job and is writing a whole club development plan which emphasises the sustainable growth of players at the club. This approach puts the main focus on youth development.”
Several new players have joined during the summer ahead of the first pre-season match against Aylesbury Athletic RFC on Saturday.
The league season begins in earnest on September 8 away to a new side to the division, Berkshire’s Thatcham RFC.
And for the first home game the club will hope to be showing off the brand new clubhouse it has been erecting over the summer break.
Gray says the new clubhouse will be ‘the envy of all other local clubs’.
