A former patient at the National Spinal Injuries Centre has missed out on a medal at the Winter Paralympics in Sochi after crashing.

Anna Turney would have won bronze in the women’s super combined event if she had completed the course as only two competitors finished the race.

But Turney also crashed in the women’s slalom event.

She finished eighth in the women’s giant slalom.

Fellow patient Benjamin Sneesby finished 11th in the men’s slalom but crashed out in the men’s giant slalom.
