A YOUNG kickboxer from Aylesbury has won his second fight in a row by knockout.
Twenty-three-year-old welter-weight Martin Fitzgerald took down Curtis Thompson in the second round of an amateur Southern Area Title eliminator last Sunday in Rochester.
This comes after he knocked out a previous opponent back in October and sets him up for a amateur Southern Area Title fight on February 26.
Pegasus Gym director and fellow kickboxer Steven Cook said: “Martin has come on leaps and bounds. He first fought for Pegasus four years ago winning his first fight also by second round knockout then had three losses in a row.
“But he has since progressed in a big way with two knockouts. We held our own show last weekend the same day Martin fought, I would like to say a big well done to everyone. The team and Martin in the evening all appeared to be on fire.”
