THAME United beat Wantage Town 1-0 away despite being reduced to 10 men.
The win was United’s eigth game unbeaten and sees them move inside the top 10.
Thame looked the sharper side from the start but the home side came back towards the end of the half and Matt Hall did well to clear a header off the goal line.
Shortly after the break, Thame defender Jon Steedman was judged to have fouled a striker as the last man and was dismissed. The harshness of the decision seemed to inspire the visitors and they scored 10 minutes later. Matt Hall’s whipped in corner was knocked down to Nik Rhodes who finished from close range.
The remainder of the game was equally matched as United held their own with fewer players.
Thame face Bracknell Town at home on Saturday, kick-off 3pm at the ASM Stadium.
