ANY question marks, and more aptly hopes, surrounding the international future of Matt Phillips have been well and truly put to bed by this picture.

Aylesbury-born Phillips has been the subject of intense media speculation after electing to play for Scotland over England last month.

That’s despite appearing for a series of England youth teams, including at the Under 20 World Cup last summer.

The Blackpool star was selected for the Scotland squad for a friendly against Slovenia last week but did not play after hurting his hamstring.

He will still be eligible to switch allegiance back to England until he has played competitively for the Auld enemy.

But any hopes of that seem highly unlikely after he was put up as a poster boy for the Scots’ new away kit.

The picture, provided by the Scottish FA, was taken as Phillips joined up with the squad despite his injury.
