CHINNOR Rugby Club received a makeover at the weekend as around 90 club members volunteered to help out with odd jobs.
In all, 26 separate projects were identified and listed, the largest being the total redecoration of the club’s ground floor facilities including nine changing rooms, three shower areas, the gymnasium and connecting corridors.
The smallest project was the cleaning of the many trophies on display in the club’s two bar areas.
Only six tasks were left incomplete due to the wet weather on Sunday restricting the amount of work that could be done.
The club also had unexpected visitors as a junior French football team were left without a place to stay.
So Chinnor offered its ground and breakfast in the morning to the children, who camped on their pitches for the weekend.
