Aylesbury FC say they are in urgent need to help from volunteers to get their pitch in a playable state for Tuesday night’s match against Godalming.
In a statement on the club’s official website, FC said: “Help is urgently needed tomorrow to assist groundsman Andy to prepare the pitch for the game against Godalming.
“Basic duties only, spreading sand, fetching, carrying etc.
“We really need help to get the game on.”
FC served up a treat by getting Saturday’s match against Ashford at the Affinity Investments Stadium to go ahead despite the pudding of a pitch at Haywood Way.
The side performed admirably, though, and managed a 2-2 draw despite the conditions.
That game only served to churn the pitch up even further and now the Moles are hoping help will be forthcoming so that they do not fall even further behind with their Evo Stik Southern Division One Central fixtures.
Anyone that can help is asked to contact Andy on 07733 065308.
