Aylesbury FC player-manager Craig Faulconbridge has likened his side’s performances to the stock exchange ahead of the start of the new season tomorrow (Saturday).
The former Premier League striker, who scored in his side’s 1-1 draw with Didcot, says he is ‘happy’ with where his side stand after they brought their pre-season preparations to a close.
But he admits he would have preferred a more logical progression along the way.
“I was not pleased with us going a goal down (against Didcot) but then we did come back,” said Faulconbridge.
“We are nearly there though.
“I would have rather got beaten against Maidenhead and in the next one so then we could make steady progression.
“It’s like watching the stock exchange, you do well and then it crashes and you have to wait for it stabilise again.”
