The Ducks entertain Dunstable at Bell Close today (Saturday) and boss Tony Joyce says improved fitness levels are reaping rewards.
The Ducks scored late on against Burnham to progress to the Berks and Bucks Cup semi-finals last week and managed to beat Egham Town on their own patch 2-1 last time out in the league.
Joyce said he was pleased in the improvement in some of the areas that his squad had worked on.
He said: “We have been working on set pieces. We have also worked on our fitness at the end of games so it is great that we have been keeping our intensity up right to the final whistle.”
After a string of injury problems so far this season, Joyce said he was optimistic of having a fully fit squad bar long-term absentees when his side entertain fellow promoted side Dunstable at Bell Close.
He said: “We expect to have Joey Acheampong and Greg Williams back, and both Dom Petrucci and Richard Armstrong should be fit as well.”
The Ducks are 11th place in the Calor League Division One Central table.
