Aylesbury United earned a creditable draw despite having goal scorer Jason Blackett sent off at Northwood.
The Ducks, 13th in the Calor Southern League, put in another battling display to secure a successive 1-1 league draw against lofty opposition having held league leaders Barton Rovers and now fifth-placed Northwood.
The Woods went ahead after just 11 minutes when the in-form Dave Lawrence fired home Nico Muir’s cut back.
Ducks striker Blackett scored early in the second half to level the game, but was later dismissed for a second yellow care leaving United to play 20 minutes a man behind.
Tony Joyce’s depleted side defended superbly to maintain a point and even had chances to nick a win on the break. But a draw was a fair reflection of the game.
