Aylesbury United players and fans were left disappointed when their big Berks and Bucks Cup semi-final against Chesham was postponed on Wednesday night but the game, along with a host of others, has now been rescheduled.
The match against their former landlords, who play one league above, will decide who meets Beaconsfield in the final after they pulled off a huge shock beating League side Wycombe in the other semi.
The game was called off at 2pm on Wednesday after a pitch inspection at Bell Close.
It was the second game in five days to be called off for the Ducks after their weekend trip to Daventry was washed out and are the latest games to be shelved in what has been a stop-start winter period so far.
As a result of the postponements the Ducks will now play Chesham United next Wednesday night (7.45pm).
Therefore United’s trip to Royston Town for their Red Insure Cup game has been rearranged for February 4.
That rearrangement has a knock-on effect to Aylesbury’s home game against Chalfont St. Peter, which was due to be played on February 5, but will now take place on Wednesday March 19 (7.45pm).
Tony Joyce’s men travel to Daventry Town on Wednesday March 5, kick off 7.45pm and welcome them back to Bell Close on March 11 (7.45pm).
United’s Calor Southern League Division One Central rivals Aylesbury FC will also hope to play some football this weekend when they are due to host Northwood at Haywood Way.
