A motion recommending the district council gives greater support to Aylesbury United is to be put forward on Wednesday night.

The request by Councillor Michael Beall at Aylesbury Vale District Council, urges the council to ‘provide assistance and support to return The Ducks to a permanent venue within the town’.

United have been playing at Leighton Town’s Bell Close ground and had been playing in Chesham after being evicted from their Buckingham Road home in 2006.

The Ducks’ old stadium still lays dormant and in the meantime, Aylesbury FC, have risen to be the town’s highest place and only senior residing football team.
