Aylesbury FC boss Steve Bateman is desperate to play a long-awaited match at the perennially flooded Haywood Way when his old club Beaconsfield come to town today (Saturday).
The Moles are hoping to play what will be their first home match since December 14 if the pitch has recovered sufficiently.
Bateman said: “It would be great to finally play at home because we have lost a lot of revenue recently.
“It could allow us to finally get a run of games.”
FC go into the Beaconsfield game with confidence as they are unbeaten in their last two games, winning 1-0 at Chalfont last Saturday before a 0-0 draw against Ashford on Tuesday night.
