Hale Leys United have appointed Paul Alleyne as their new manager.
Alleyne, who established himself as one of the finest non-league footballers around during his playing days, took charge of the side for the run-in last season but has now been handed the role with plenty of time ahead of the new campaign and he couldn’t be happier.
He said: “I am delighted that my first appointment as a manager is with a fine club like Hale Leys, they are a young club and have done so well to progress to South Midlands football in only six years since being established.
“After meeting the key personnel behind the scenes it is clear that they share the same ambition, enthusiasm and drive that I have for the game I am eager to get under way and look forward to the start of pre-season training.”
Roger Simmons, Hale leys chairman added: “We look forward to seeing what Paul can deliver for the club. He has a great understanding of football especially at this tier , we are excited to see what he can bring to our club.” Hale Leys started pre-season training yesterday (Tuesday) and all players are welcome to attend open training on Thursday (6.30pm at Fairford Leys).
