The scheme kick-started last week with senior players being given fitness tests at the Dinton’s first indoor nets training.

Richard Whitaker, manager of the gym, said: “This is a unique opportunity to increase our involvement in the local community, Dinton Cricket Club is undoubtedly the number one club in Aylesbury Vale, and we are delighted to be able to look to support them as they strive to become more successful. I genuinely hope that this is the beginning of a long and close relationship.”

Johnny Morgan Dinton Cricket Club chairman said: “We are a family Club and what is really exciting is that the players and their families can benefit from the Health assessments offered and by doing the class that is being provided.”

Plans are already in place for the senior players to be retested prior to the season starting.Dinton Cricket Club is recruiting members young and old ahead of the new season. There is a limit on the number of junior members so those interested are encouraged to join the waiting list by emailing

Junior Members have until April 30 to return their membership forms and subs to guarantee their 2012 place.

Places will then be allocated to people on the waiting list.
