SCOUTS from Thame raised £600 for the Poppy Appeal and Help for Heroes.

Youngsters from Thame Scouts made a collage of coins in the town centre and passers-by were encouraged to fill in the gaps with their own donations to the cause.

The collection was made with the help of Thame’s beavers, cubs, scouts, explorers and their leaders on Saturday November 12.

The cheque was this week presented to John Hussey, coordinator of the Poppy Appeal for Thame and district, in a ceremony at the Scout Hut.

The organisers would like to thank all the boys, girls and parents who helped with the collection.
