A workshop is being held in Aylesbury to give people tips on how to drive safety in winter weather.

The event will include a presentation by a former police response driver on how to handle vehicles on ice and snow.

Garage technicians will also be showing motorists how to do basic checks on their vehicles to reduce the chance of them breaking down.

Janet Blake, cabinet member for transport at Bucks County Council, said: “Safety is important on our roads at all times of the year, but any preparation we can take to make sure that we all stay as safe as possible during the winter months is extremely valuable.

“I would highly recommend everyone attending these workshops.”

The workshop, being run with STS Tyre Pros, is being held from 7pm on November 28 in Park Street.

It is due to last for two hours and will cost £10, which includes a car safety pack.

Other workshops are being held in Chesham and High Wycombe.
