Thame United continued their unbeaten October with a 4-0 win away at Bracknell Town on Saturday, in what their manager Mark West described as “a perfect game.”
Niall Hodgkins was once again on top form for the visitors, scoring a hat-trick before the break, while Simon Lynn rounded the victory off with a goal in the second half.
Boss West was full of praise for his side following their fourth win in a row.
He said: “It was a brilliant performance again from the players, they were absolutely outstanding.
“They worked hard and they took their chances when they came. It couldn’t have gone any better to be honest.”
West singled out striker Hodgkins after the victory adding: “Niall is our man in form now. He has scored seven goals in his last three games and it’s great that he’s back on form.
“He suffered a broken ankle a while back and it has taken him time to get back up to full fitness but now he is getting his rewards.”
Thame’s next match is at home to Ascot this Saturday and West admitted it would be a tough game.
He said: “We have not beaten Ascot for a few years, they are a bit of a bogey side for us although if we play like we have been recently I am confident that we can get the victory.”
