BURGLARS are targeting homes in the Cheddington/ Wingrave area, police have said.

There were three attempted burglaries in the two Vale villages last week.

Between 8.30pm on Thursday and 6.10pm on Friday, criminals attempted to gain entry into two different properties, one in Paines Orchard and one in Church Hill, Cheddington.

On both occasions the offenders left visible tool marks on the doors but did not gain entry.

And at about 11.50pm on Thursday, offenders attempted to force entry into a house in Little Mollards in Wingrave via the front door.

The victim woke up, looked out the window and saw a man running away from the house.

The following day the occupant noticed marks on the front door.

Designated Investigator Tina Scott, from Aylesbury police station, said: “I believe these incidents are linked and I would like to hear from anyone in the area who noticed suspicious or unusual activities.”
