UPDATED: Man charged with GBH after young mum stabbed in Aylesbury

A 32-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm after a young mum was stabbed in the chest at her home in Aylesbury.

Ashley Laxton, of no fixed abode, was charged with the offence of GBH with intent and one count of the possession of a bladed article.

Laxton has been remanded in custody and will appear at High Wycombe Magistrates Court this morning.

The 25-year-old woman was stabbed in the doorway of her Friarscroft Way home on Friday and was airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital, however she has since been released.
