THREE people are injured, one seriously, after a crash on the Great Horwood Road in Winslow on Wednesday night.
The road was cordoned off after emergency services arrived at the scene at around 6pm.Several fire engines were seen rushing through Winslow and police have confirmed two vehicles – a blue Mazda and black Peugeot – were involved in the crash.
Police said the road is likely to remain cordoned off until at least 10pm.
It is the third car crash in Aylesbury Vale in as many days. The passenger of the Mazda and driver of Peugeot have been taken to Milton Keynes Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Mazda, who had to be cut free from the car by firefighterd from Bucks Fire and Rescue Service, was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hosptial in Oxford with serious injuries.
A police spokesman said: “We are on the scene and investigating. The road will be blocked for a few hours and we are appealing for witnesses.”
