The chairman of the town’s twinning association is counting down the days until this year’s trip to France.
Thame and District Twinning Association will pile on to a coach and travel down to Thame’s twin town, Montesson, which is close to Paris.
Chairman Linda Emery thinks it is a great chance to strengthen ties between the town and its French friends.
She said: “We are all really looking forward to the visit.
“Over the 14 years that we have been twinned with Montesson we have formed close ties and our members enjoy meeting up with old friends as well as making new ones.
“Another highlight of our visit is the Saturday trip which the French committee organise for us.
“In previous years we have had wonderful visits to Versailles and Chantilly and taken a boat trip along the Seine.”
The exchange weekend takes place from September 18 to September 20.
It is open to all, not just existing twinning members and there is no obligation to reciprocate.
It costs £120 for members and £130 for newcomers.
