Commuters have been frustrated after a new train timetable increased their journeys by more than 30 minutes.
The new times have seen more seats provided on Chiltern Railways’ services from London Marylebone via Princes Risborough to Birmingham but a decrease in the number of trains with only four running every hour.
Bucks County Council cabinet member for planning and transportation Peter Hardy and county councillor for The Risboroughs, Carl Etholen, were among those who met with the railways’ managing director Rob Brighouse to raise their fears on behalf of commuters.
Mr Hardy said: “There are a number of residents who feel this service isn’t working for them, and we have today made these representations to Chiltern Railways.
“We will continue to argue for changes that will positively impact on the service. They have assured us that they remain open to feedback of their services.”
Risborough Town Council will meet on January 15 to speak with local residents who have been affected by the changes.
