Town’s very own lions are roaring after 34 years of raising money

A VOLUNTEER group of fundraisers will be holding a bric-a-brac sale in Thame Town Hall for charity this Saturday.

The Thame and District Lions Club is organising the sale as part of its ongoing commitment to local good causes.

All proceeds will be donated to charities in South Oxfordshire.

The Lions Club is a volunteer organisation that meets the needs of communities.

A worldwide group, there are 1.35 million members in more than 206 countries.

The Thame Club was founded in 1977 and currently has 18 members of which nine are male and nine are female.

The members of the group come from all manner of backgrounds, have raised approximately £265,000 since they were founded. The sale takes place between 11am and 3pm.
