CHINNOR Players’ latest production Tomb with a View proved to be quite a hit with the audience, who were engaged in the show all the way to the end.

The play by Norman Robbins was performed at Chinnor Village Hall and held the onlookers in suspense until the secret of ‘who did it?’ was revealed.

Attentions have now turned to the Players’ next production, which will be the Neil Simmons play The Odd Couple.

Auditions for the show will be on Monday and Tuesday at 8pm at the Sports and Social Club in Chinnor, with the actual performance being held on October 27-29.

But this looks set to be a sideshow to what the theatre group have in store for next year. They are planning to be one of the theatres chosen to perform Calendar Girls, which is already pencilled in for October 2012.

Chairman Pat Samuel said: “Everyone was very excited about the production and auditions will be taking place in spring 2012.

“We would very much like to welcome newcomers to Chinnor Players, front of house, on stage and of course no production could manage without the help of the back stage team. Every production is truly teamwork and being part of that team is what makes Chinnor Players.”
