A TEAM of former Lord Williams’s pupils put their dignity to one side this week as they cycled from Leeds to Exeter in nothing but pink pants.
The quartet joined a larger group in a bid to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Ben Smith, George Butler, Tom Cooke and Alex Woodhouse took on the challenge, which saw them wearing just factor 30 suncream, a helmet and their pants.
The team stopped off at various campsites on the way and often left the local residents with a smile as they departed early in the morning.
Their stops were at Derby, Solihull, Stratford upon Avon, Shipston on Stour, Wyck Rissington, Cirencester and Wootten Bassett before finally making it to Exeter.
The public were hugely supportive at all stop-offs and donations included bacon butties, discounted pub grub, orange juice and free camp sites.
But there will be no time for the team to get over their saddle soreness as they are due to compete in a charity football match on Sunday.
All of this has been put on to raise £10,000 for Help for Heroes.
