THAME: Summer fete raises £3,000

Three worthy causes in Kingsey are set to benefit from the grand total of £3,200 raised at the village’s annual summer fete.

St Nicholas Church and two other local charities – to be chosen at the annual village meeting in October – will each have a share of the cash.

The afternoon was hosted in the immaculate gardens of Tythrop House and visitors flocked to enjoy the myriad of traditional stalls and entertainment on offer, inlcuding smooth sounds from the jazz band.

Organiser Katherine Baker said: “This village event is a team effort, and thanks go to everyone who played a role.”
