A THAME-BASED hotel firm has raised £50,000 for a charity which helps disadvantaged children in the UK.
Paul Harvey, a managing director at Travelodge, and 10 members of his team, donned their wetsuits and trainers to embark on a so-called marathon-decathlon challenge across London.
On September 16 the brave group undertook the challenge to complete 10 gruelling sporting events which spanned the distance of a marathon race all in the name of their appointed charity, KidsOut.
Paul said: “It is one of the hardest tests my team and I have had to face but we do enjoy a good challenge, which is why we developed this bespoke sporting event.
“It is incredibly satisfying that the six months of rigorous training has paid off as the whole team completed the event and we smashed our target of £30,000 by raising £50,000.
“By far the best achievement will be seeing all of our hard earned-donations be put to great use, helping bring fun and happiness to disadvantaged children.”
