Thame Masonic Hall was opened by Nick Howland, deputy provincial grand master of Oxfordshire last week.
The ceremony was attended by many members and friends and was followed by afternoon tea for all.
Nick commented that the development was one in which all who use the facilities can take great pride.
The front of the building has been completely re-built to be user friendly especially to the handicapped and elderly.
The hall is now equipped with a brand new entrance and incorporates a lift, disabled facilities, new toilets and a new kitchen not to mention the comfort heating and air conditioning in the dining room and a new bar.
The facilities are now available for general letting purposes.
The Drop-in centre will re-open on Monday October 10 and all users will be most welcome to return.
It is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to midday.
