Members of Thame Rotary Club reached out to the crowds at Thame Food Festival and raised £500 by selling raffle tickets.

Rotary Club members were joined by members of the Thame Inner Wheel Club selling the tickets in aid of Thame-based Sharing Life Trust’s Foodbank, Thame Skate Park Project, TCC2 and SAFARI.

Raffle prizes were luxury hampers kindly donated by Waitrose and the Co-Operative in Thame.

As well as being in with a chance to win, the public had the chance to find out about the main events organised by the Rotary Club of Thame later this year, including the Thame Swimathon on Sunday, October 12 and Thame Art Show between December 5 and 7.

Rotary Club spokesman Marius Ciortan said: “The raffle prizes were the main attractions at our stall, but not the only ones. We also had a great interest in the Thame Swimathon event due to take place on the 12th.”
