Thame Rotary Club handed over £3,500 to charity after holding two successful annual events.

The Rotary Swimathon and Thame Art Show are now a staple of the fundraising year.

The rotary club split the money between several good causes including Thame and District Day Centre, Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

The day centre will use the money to fund future trips out and extra comforts such as cushions for its customers.

The air ambulance donation will go towards paying for future plans to include doctors on most flights.

Other donations were made to the former Mayor Nigel Champken-Woods’ charities, Sharing Life Trust and SERV.
