An Aylesbury company will deliver a special range of nutritionally balanced ‘posh nosh’ to help older people avoid malnutrition.

The On The Menu range was launched by Elizabeth Jones in 2012, after she faced difficulties when caring for her own mother.

And the firm has now enlisted the help of Aylesbury-based delivery firm Festival Catering Supplies, to deliver the meals to elderly people across Buckinghamshire.

Owner Dave Heasman said: “We are excited to be meeting such a real need in older people who might otherwise be missing meals or relying on less nutritious options.

“It is a pleasure to deliver and help the older generation.”

And founder Elizabeth Jones, who enlisted the help of a team of specialist dieticians to create the range, said: “There are many barriers older people face in finding and preparing suitable things to eat, which is why so many are malnourished.

“Our range aims to provide a safe solution with appetising meals that suit their tastes and address the dietary needs of those with smaller appetites.

“On the menu helps individuals and their carers to plan carefully balanced meals that are not only a convenient and appealing choice, but also cater to their tastes and overall health.”
