If you love outdoor sales, take a trip along to the 11th Thame Summer Sheep Fair at the Thame Showground today (Friday).
The fair is one of the biggest one-day sheep sales in the entire country and will see more than 26,000 sheep sold.
Although primarily a trade event for working farmers and shepherds, the fair does also attract visitors who just love to see all the sheep.
There promises to be plenty of baa-rtering as the animals, including ewes, lambs and rams from local breeders in Thame, Long Crendon, Aylesbury, Wendover, Stoke Mandeville, Butlers Cross and Oving go under the hammer.
Farmers as far away as Cirencester, Towcester, Northampton, Crawley and Buxton will also have animals in town for the sale, which starts on Friday at 8am with the store and ewe lambs. Breeds on sale will include Texel, Cheviot, Suffolk and Mules. So be sure ewe don’t miss out!
