Celebrity chef Rick Stein spiced things up at a Thame bookstore when he signed copies of his new book, India.
The 66-year-old restauranteur appeared at The Book House for a second time in as many years to sign his book based on the current BBC TV series.
Owner Brian Pattinson said: “When he was here a couple of years ago he had an outstanding sale. There’s obviously a huge following for him around Thame.
“He’s such a nice, laid back chap. He’s one of the nicest people we know in the business. He dedicates all the books to people and takes photos.”
Mr Pattinson said his phone had been ringing off the hook prior to Stein’s appearance.
He added: “We’ve certainly had more inquires than ever before. He’s definitely up there.
“Rick just seems to deliver each time with a book. It’ just his enthusiasm for the country he goes to.
“For him to come to Thame is just wonderful for us.”
