Staff at the Travelodge head office in Thame have raised a record £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support at their third annual Green Day event.
The fundraising day at Thame Cricket Club saw a team of 200 from the hotel chain take part in activities including human table football and welly wanging.
More than 250 people attended the event, including Travelodge head office staff and their family and friends.
The event also featured an all-day cricket match between the Travelodge head office team, the company’s tax advisors, FTI Consultancy, and the company’s legal advisors, Addlehsaw Goddard (AG).
The first match was between Travelodge and FTI with FTI winning by 110 runs.
The second match was between FTI and AG with FTI winning by 132 runs.
The third match was between Travelodge and AG and this match saw Travelodge win by 129 runs.
Travelodge charity co-ordinator Paula Lewis said: “We are delighted that our 2015 Green Day event has raised a record £10,000 and we have beaten last year’s total of £7,500.
“This event takes months of planning.
“We had a fantastic day, with lots of fun and laughter and most importantly raised a lot of money for a great cause.
“I would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support.”
