The children at an Aylesbury nursery have been treated to a day of ghoulish games for their Halloween party.
The Child First Nursery in Rickford’s Hill has put on the party to entertain the kids, who spent the day dressed in all kinds of frightful fancy dress.
The 40 children at the nursery got to play ‘pin the smile on the skeleton’ and ‘pass the pumpkin’, along with ‘sleeping monsters’ and ‘spooky musical chairs’.
Surprisingly, the games were not enough the leave the little ones all scared out, and they spent the rest of the day carving pumpkins and making petrifying paintings.
The nursery’s home corner was transformed into a witches’ den to suit the occasion, with face painting and biscuit decorating also on offer for the kids.
Even tea time was not safe from a Halloween twist as the nursery staff laid on a spread of witches’ blood soup and witches’ fingers, with a side of iced hands in slime and jelly.
Sara Foster, the manager at the nursery, said: “The kids are absolutely loving it. Some of them came in escpecially just for the part.
“They’re very happy to dress up and are having such fun.”
