The love of South Park crops up in this weeks Answers Please column, with Chris Fensom admitting watching an episode was his guilty pleasure.

The martial art trainers instructor filled out our form this week and came up with some interesting answers.

What do you wish they’d taught you at school, but didn’t?

That hard work is more valuable than natural ability.

Ignore what you’re doing now – if you could do any job in the world, what would it be and why?

I would have liked to be a paramedic so that I could help people and fulfil my superhero fantasies.

Of all the places you’ve been in your life, which would you recommend to a stranger?

Fort William in Scotland because of the stunning scenery.

If you could pass one new law tomorrow, what would it be and why?

That schools have to teach martial arts in PE to help give students confidence and teach them respect, as they have done in Japan for generations

If you were stuck on Death Row, what would you pick for your final meal?

My mother’s Sunday roast.

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?

To be able to transport myself anywhere just by thinking, as it would save so much petrol.

What was the last little treat you bought for yourself, or someone else?

The wedding make up for my fiancee.

What would you find it hardest to live without?

Martial arts training.

If you could leap forward to the year 2050, what would you hope, to find?


Favourite places to eat within 20 miles of Thame?

The Harvester in Wheatley as they have the best brownie and the best waiter – if you go, ask for Boris.

What’s your best kept entertainment or social life secret, or guilty pleasure?

I have a slight addiction to South Park and secretly enjoy watching Desperate Housewives when my fiancee puts in on.
