A UNIVERSITY student is putting on a village talent show to raise money for a school in Africa.
Hannah Bourke, 19, is studying teaching at Christchurch College in Canterbury and as part of her course has to visit and help at a school outside England.
The former Princes Risborough pupil decided to go to a school in Tanzania which she has raised money for in the past.
Hannah plans to spend a month teaching and helping out at the school which is just recovering from a serious fire which gutted almost half its buildings.
To do this she needs to raise money to help fund new projects and to this end Hannah is organising a Haddenham’s Got Talent evening on September 3 in The Haddenham Youth Centre in Woodways.
Although she already has a line-up, Hannah is more than happy to accept any late entries.
“If people want to come along on the day then that is fine. It should be a really fun evening.”
The show is open to participants of all ages and all manner of talents.
Some of the acts already on board include comedy sketches, musical acts and poetry readings.
“It will be fun, people should come down and have a look.”
The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children.
