Alpacas and a host of other creatures helped draw the crowds at a Lewknor farm.

Around 850 people visited Field Farm on Sunday, to a host of attractions.

As well as pigs, sheep, chickens and alpacas, visitors had the chance to meet Kusel the red kite and Rose the bat who is in the care of the North Bucks Bat Group.

Another popular attraction was the tractor and trailer ride, which was enjoyed by more than 500 people.

Visitors also had the chance to see sheep shearing first hand.

Murray Graham, who owns Field Farm, said: “We were absolutely delighted by the turn out, especially as this is the first time we have hosted an Open Farm Sunday event.

“It was fantastic to be able to show the visitors how their food is produced, and how we work to help conserve wildlife.”

Open Farm Sunday is a national initiative aimed at opening up farming to the public.

Hundreds of farms around the country open their gates on the same day.
