A CHARITY which helps those in need who are living through hardship is desperately seeking volunteers to allow it to continue its good work.
The Sharing Life Trust is a small Oxfordshire charity established in 2005 to help battle the relief of poverty and hardship.
They support overseas projects and are involved in international HIV and Aids treatment and various health projects.
In the UK the charity is involved in helping those in hardship and poverty in local communities around the Thame and Chinnor area.
It works with various agencies including the surgeries, the Citizens Advice Bureau and Social Services, to identify those in need, then through our volunteer network provide help and assistance where it is most needed.
The sort of practical things volunteers assist with include shopping and transport to appointments at hospitals or surgeries for the elderly or disabled.
Occasionally they will help with gardening, decorating or other odd jobs for someone with no local access to family or friends and can’t afford to employ professionals.
Volunteers can find out more and contact the charity by calling 0845 466 0264 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
